Below you will find the introductory drills for Mike Kocour's line class.
1. Use the Amazing Slowdowner to play these tracks at first so you are clear in your mind about the sound of the pitches and intervals.
2. Once you have learned to hear these structures in the given keys, then use the transposition feature of the Amazing Slowdowner to allow you to learn sound of these structures in other keys. Transposing by ear is the best method. Working on your lines this way will reinforce that skill.

Example Solos
At the end of every line class Mike composes a solo over a common chord progression using the linear elements we have practiced in the class that day. This very important next step is is critical as it allows us to contextualize what we have practiced and to gain a better understanding of its meaning in the music.
